About the Artist
Justin has been seriously passionate about drawing and painting for about fifteen years. Since middle school, he has devoted all of his free time to drawing and painting. This drive to create has become one of his top priorities. He is very interested in illustration. One of his artistic challenges is to illustrate the thoughts and ideas expressed in the Bible. “Whereas King David, and King Solomon expressed their feelings about in the Book of Songs I express mine with pictures. Recently my Biblical illustrations have become somewhat surreal because I want to express my views on in regards to the next world not in this world. In the end it all really comes down to God. Perhaps the reason we create is because we want to emulate God, after all, God is certainly the greatest of all artists and I think all our views on art come from God.”
Justin also enjoys painting outdoor scenes, specifically the scenes around where he lives. He likes to draw and paint the scenery of rural Georgia. He was raised in Crawford County Georgia and says that after living sometime in Atlanta, he definitely finds non-city life much more serene and beautiful.
Currently Justin is a senior at Georgia State University working toward a Bachelor’s of Fine Arts in Studio Art.
